Wilfred Mula’s 70th Birthday Party, Gululu Restaurant, St. Julian’s. 7th of June 2014.
Many consider number 17 to be a lucky number, for Mr.Wilfred Mula a Sliema born prominent Maltese – Australian it is certainly number 7. The seventh child born on the 7th of June 1944, Wilfred Mula returned “home” to celebrate his 70th birthday earlier this month.
A distinguished gathering of family and friends came together at Gululu restaurant in St. Julian’s to toast the birthday boy and help him celebrate this very special day. Guests from Malta were joined by several international friends from eight different countries and from as far afield as Australia and the USA.
The staff at Gululu rose admirably to the occasion and impressed the guests as Mrs Rosemary Mula, Wilfred’s lifelong partner in marriage and business, commented, “All were pleasantly surprised at the flavours and level of sophistication. Gululu Restaurant food is a shiny example of everything good in the modern Malta.”
Whilst the celebrations went on well after midnight, all guests behaved themselves and Wilfred Mula was as happy as punch
